WIth over 30 years experience of nature writing and running forays, Daniel is the perfect guide for beginners and those that want to know more.
Daniel was one of the first mushroom foraging teachers to offer courses in Britain, having established Fungi Forays in 1996.
His courses are located in the spectacular scenery of mid-Wales, where ancient forests produce myths, legends and mushrooms.
Peak workshop season is September-October, but can also be arranged for May- November.
Daniel is a member of the Association of Foragers.

Daniel has an equally long career as an author. He wrote a series of columns with Country Living Magazine Diary of a smallholder between 1999-2006, as well as a nature column in the The Telegraph (Weekend), and reviews for The Guardian and the Times Literary Supplement.
He wrote the best seller Urban Dreams, Rural Realities (1999), a humorous account of his first year in the wilds of Wales, for which he had left London in pursuit of a bucolic idyll.
Daniel also writes nature books, his first, Red Tail (1997) about training a hawk, the award-winning How To Plant a Tree (2010), and most recently, The Owl House (2020).
